Earlier this month, we reported on an Alternate Reality Game (ARG) puzzle making the rounds, teasing the next Vampire: The Masquerade game. I’ve been following all the developments and teases from Tender, a “dating app” where you can sign in with your Paradox Interactive account. For those not aware, Paradox bought White Wolf and all their IPs in 2015, and now it looks like a sequel to Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines will finally get shown off and announced in March 2019.

If you are a fan of Vampire: The Masquerade and haven’t seen “Tender, Your Soulmate Algorithm” yet, then you should probably sign up for all the latest teases right now. It is an awesome and elaborate way of teasing a new game in the franchise. Maybe, just maybe, you can even figure out what’s going on if you pay close enough attention.
The latest development points towards a reveal of the next Vampire: The Masquerade game on 21 March. You see, there’s a memo from the Tender CEO, Malcolm Chandler. Mr Chandler makes a tonne of vampire references in the memo, which is sent to Tender’s Chief Technical Officer.
In this memo, Mr Chandler mentions that his patience is wearing thin as a new Tender feature should have been rolled out already. Then, he says the following:
We must be ready for San Francisco on March 21st. 300 Tender users will be invited to a private party, some of them flown from around the world…This will be the biggest announcement in the history of my company.
Keep in mind that the Game Developers Conference runs from 18 to 22 March in San Francisco this year, so it isn’t that hard to make that connection. Further, Project Chimera (which is probably the codename for the new game) has been mentioned in a short clip, which also happens to showcase the Santa Monica pier from Bloodlines. I, for one, don’t need any more convincing that we will see the next Vampire: The Masquerade game revealed on 21 March 2019.
