Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds has opened up its global pre-registration. Players can pre-register right here for free on mobile via the App Store or Google Play. The mobile game is finally getting an international release later this summer, though you can sign up to try it out right now.
Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds is a multiplayer take on the Ni No Kuni franchise created by Level-5 and Studio Ghibli. The mobile game was developed by Netmarble and first released in Asian territories last year. However, it’s now hitting the global stage for international players.

Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds presents an original story complete with Studio Ghibli’s signature animation style, built entirely in Unreal Engine 4. In a bit of meta-storytelling, players assume the role of a character from a futuristic city, playing a virtual reality game called Soul Divers. The player soon discovers that this virtual world is very much real. A mysterious girl named Rania tasks you with rebuilding her world’s kingdom in order to save both your realities from an impending doom.
Players start off by choosing one of five classes: Swordsman, Witch, Engineer, Rogue, and Destroyer. The world is littered with NPCs and monsters to slay, where you’ll also be able to pick up Familiars to fight alongside you on your adventures. The Kingdom itself is also customisable, allowing players to decorate the world with interactive objects and more.
Since the game is primarily focused on multiplayer, players can squad up and tackle both PvP and PvE. However, most of Ni No Kuni‘s trademark whimsy and charm is still present in this spin-off.
Players who pre-register on the App Store or Google Play will receive the Explorer’s Outfit. If you join the game’s Discord, you’ll also get the Catarumpus Hat and a special title.
Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds hits mobile and PC this summer.
