Ahead of the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal this week, the company is getting another piece of hardware out of the way first – its digital alarm clock that was originally announced last year. The Nintendo Alarmo will be available at select retailers in March according to Nintendo.
The launch regions include the US, UK, and Europe at this stage. However, we don’t know if we fall under the EU for this launch (usually, we follow whatever NOE does). Up to now, the Nintendo Alarmo has been available but only for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers and at the same time, limited to only certain regions. In South Africa, you can’t buy the Nintendo Alarmo at all even if you do have a subscription.
Hopefully, with this March rollout, we’ll be able to pick up one of these alarm clock thingies. Nintendo hasn’t shared when exactly in March the product will launch, but the company says select retailers will start stocking the item sometime during the month.
Nintendo was expected to launch the Alarmo in more regions this January. However, it doesn’t seem to be happening at this rate. If we do get any local information about the device, we will share it ASAP. Until then, expect the product in March.
The Nintendo Alarmo is a cute digital alarm clock that can be customized with themed clock faces and sounds. Users can download themes based on popular Nintendo franchises and watch the clock as it animates during the day. It also chimes every hour. Of course, it also boasts wake-up features that chime to your selected song every morning.
Nintendo recently released a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe update for the Alarmo, adding a unique theme for the game to the experience.
While this Alarmo news is great, we are all waiting in anticpation for the Switch 2 reveal which is expected to take place on Thursday.
