Out of the blue, Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct showcase set to take place later today. The companies promises a look at roughly 40 minutes of updates on upcoming Nintendo Switch games set to release in 2023. We’ll also get some new details on Pikmin 4. Here’s when and where you can watch the Nintendo Direct for June 2023.

According to the announcement on Nintendo’s social media channels, this Direct showcase will feature 40 minutes of information and updates focused on Switch games launching later this year, meaning it’s unlikely that we’ll get any updates for games (or potential hardware) launching in 2024 and beyond – at least not yet. However, if you’re a Pikmin fan then you’re in luck as this showcase will give some of the spotlight to the anticipated upcoming game, Pikmin 4.

When to Watch Nintendo Direct June 2023

The Nintendo Direct showcase will kick off on 21 June (today) at 7am PT / 10am ET / 3pm BST or 4pm CAT for South Africans. On the bright side, at least it’s not another late night for local viewers like many previous events since it takes place in the afternoon.

You’ll have a few options on where to watch the upcoming Nintendo Direct event. The company posted a link on its social media taking viewers to the official Nintendo website where the stream is currently up right now and scheduled to go live in a few hours. After the enormous success of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, fans are hoping to see what’s next for the Nintendo Switch. Reports suggest that Nintendo will launch (or at least begin talking about) new hardware sometime in 2024, so whatever is shown at this event set to release later this year might be the last few releases left for the hybrid console.
