Nintendo Direct September 2023 – All The Announcements

Nintendo hosted a packed Nintendo Direct yesterday which included updates on existing games and new announcements too. The stream was 40 minutes long but felt like hours thanks to the sheer number of games showcased.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door HD Announced

The GameCube RPG is being remastered for Switch and will launch in 2024.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong Remake

Nintendo announced a new Mario vs. Donkey Kong game headed to Switch in 2024. It is a remake of the original 2004 GBA game.

F-Zero 99 Available Today

F-Zero 99 is a battle royale-style racer based on the popular F-Zero series. The game is available today.

Princess Peach: Showtime!

The Princess Peach game which was previously announced a few weeks back and unnamed at the time, is now officially called Princess Peach: Showtime! The game is launching on 22 March 2024.

Tomb Raider 1, 2 and 3 Remastered

The original first three Tomb Raider games are being remastered for Switch (and other platforms). Players can toggle between the classic visuals and remastered ones on the go. The game will also include expansions and secret levels for each game. It is launching on 14 February 2024.

Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD

Nintendo says Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD will arrive sometime in mid-2024. The game is a remaster of the 3DS game.

Splatoon 3 Side Order

Splatoon 3’s second DLC, Side Order, has been dated for some time in early 2024. It is included in the game’s expansion pass and will be sold separately.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Coming to Switch

The new Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown game, which has been announced for PS4, PS5, Xbox and PC is also coming to Nintendo Switch. The game will launch alongside other platforms on 18 January 2024.

Super Mario RPG Remake Gameplay

Nintendo Showed off some new gameplay for the upcoming Super Mario RPG Remake. The game is out on 17 November 2023.

Trombone Champ

A new strange-looking rhythm game is out today on Nintendo Switch. In it, players will play the Trombone and make music. The game already launched on PC last year. The Switch version will take advantage of the motion sensors in the Joy-Con.

Dave The Diver Gets Release Date

Dave the Diver, another PC exclusive, is headed to Nintendo Switch on 26 October.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Wave 6

Nintendo showed off tracks from the Wave 6 content headed to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. There are also new racers including Diddy Kong, Funky LKong, Pauline and Peachette.

Detective Pikachu Cinematic Trailer

Ahead of its 6 October launch, Nintendo showed off a new Detective Pikachu cinematic trailer. It revealed some other characters and Pokemon who will help Pikachu in the game.

Horizon Chase 2 Out Today

Horizon Chase 2 is out today on Switch. It was originally launched on PlayStation, PC, Xbox and mobile.

Another Code: Recollection

Another Code: Recollection is a compilation of two games. The first is the original Nintendo DS game, Another Code: Two Memories. The second is the Nintendo Wii game, Another Code R. Both games have been enhanced for Switch and will launch in the Recollection package on 19 January 2024.

SaGa Emerald Beyond

Square Enix’s sci-fi fantasy RPG series SaGa is getting a new instalment on Switch. Titled “Emerald Beyond” players get to choose from a series of characters and explore different worlds. Each story has different outcomes depending on your choice of character and the decisions you make.

Unicorn Overlord RPG Announced

A new tactics RPG, Unicorn Overlord has been announced for Switch. The game will launch on 8 March 2024 and aims to bring back the classic genre with over 60 distinct characters to control.

Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes

The spiritual successor to the Suikoden series, Eiyuden Chronicles will launch on 23 April 2023.

WarioWare: Move It! Gets New Trailer

WarioWare: Move It! Will launch in November and include over 200 micro-games to play through.
