Nintendo is set to host another Direct event later today featuring “40 minutes of information mostly focused on Nintendo Switch games releasing this winter.” The event will be a decently lengthy one so fans are expecting a few surprises in store for Switch players. Here’s when and where you can watch the Nintendo Direct for September 2023 as well as what to expect.
The last Nintendo Direct event aired back in June and gave us reveals for exciting new Switch games as well as updates on Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Super Mario RPG, Pikmin 4 and Detective Pikachu Returns, among others. Despite reports of new hardware in the works, Nintendo made it clear that this Direct will be focused on current-gen Switch games releasing in the next few months so we probably shouldn’t expect any major console announcements just yet.

When and Where to Watch Nintendo Direct September 2023
When to Watch
The next Nintendo Direct will air on Thursday, 14 September (today) at 7am PT / 10am ET / 3pm GMT / 4pm CEST or 4pm CAT (local time). As Nintendo stated, it will run for roughly 40 minutes and thankfully, South Africans won’t have to stay up until the late hours of the night to watch it – assuming loadshedding doesn’t interfere.
Where to Watch
As for where you can watch it, the stream is currently live on the official Nintendo of America YouTube channel and counting down to the event. We’ve also embedded the livestream down below for convenience. You’ll also be able to watch it directly on Nintendo’s official website.
We can only speculate about what might be shown during the Nintendo Direct today but we’ll likely get another good look at the upcoming 2D platformer Super Mario Bros. Wonder following a special Direct stream that took place earlier this month. Fans are once again hoping for more news on Hollow Knight: Silksong while others are keen to see if any neat post-launch additions are coming to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Don’t miss the Nintendo Direct event later today. Stay tuned on the livestream below:
