Nintendo Hosting Donkey Kong Bananza Direct Tomorrow – When and Where to Watch

Nintendo’s second Switch 2 exclusive, Donkey Kong Bananza, is set to launch next month. Ahead of the release, the company wants to show players a bit more of Donkey Kong’s brand-new 3D adventure and is hosting a special Direct tomorrow to do so.

A Donkey Kong Bananza Direct is set to kick off tomorrow. Nintendo says the livestream will play host to 15 minutes of gameplay and updates regarding the title. You’ll be able to watch the stream live at 15:00 SAST, 15:00 CEST on YouTube.

While we have seen a bit of the game already, Nintendo has left much of the core gameplay in Donkey Kong Bananza a mystery. The game follows a redesigned Donkey Kong who somehow gets roped into a mission to stop some evil monkeys from stealing bananas and essentially destroying his island at the same time.

It might sound like your typical Donkey Kong story, but Bananza has taken on an entirely new approach. Donkey Kong is now in full 3D platforming mode, meaning players can explore vast environments and get around outside of the typical gameplay layout we have seen before.

Donkey Kong can also bash through rocks and destroy virtually any obstacles that get in his way. Hopefully, the Direct will touch on some of the mechanics outside of the smash-smash stuff. We also don’t know if Nintendo will confirm whether or not the game takes place in the Super Mario Odyssey universe.

We will share a full breakdown on the stream right after it ends.
