Nintendo Switch 2 – All 41 Games Available on Day One

The Nintendo Switch 2 has a packed lineup of games ready for its launch. While Nintendo only showcased a handful during its initial reveal in April, many more have been confirmed by third-party developers since then.

On launch day, you’ll be able to play over 40 Nintendo Switch 2-specific games. These are games that have been ported to the console directly and aren’t making use of backwards compatibility. They include games with upgraded features and visuals in certain circumstances, and brand-new releases.

A total of 12 existing Switch games are being “enhanced” for the Switch 2 with new features, visuals, and enhancements. These games will offer free upgrades to the hardware. In addition, there are also a number of Switch 2 Edition games that offer vast improvements and content, but you’ll have to pay to upgrade them for the console.

Of course, the big launch game on Nintendo Switch 2 is Mario Kart World. It is essentially the only real “exclusive” available at launch, which offers an experience you can’t find anywhere else. Sure, there’s also Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, but it isn’t really a fully-fledged game. Everything else consists of ports, upgrades, and paid Switch 2 Edition games.
