Nintendo Switch 2 Nacon Accessories Officially Revealed

Last week, Nintendo officially announced the Nintendo Switch 2, the company’s next-gen console and successor to the original Switch. Accessory makers are slowly starting to announce their launch add-ons for the console. One of the first in line was Nacon which officially unveiled its selection of accessories players can grab when the Switch 2 launches this year.

The set of Nintendo Switch 2 accessories from Nacon consist of “a range of solutions to protect it from knocks and drops, including cases, protective shells, pouches and travel bag, all equally useful when playing or on the move.” Nacon will also offer tempered glass protectors and cleaning tools so that players can take care of the console’s screen – one of the major complaints of the first Switch was that the dock tended to damage the screen, so these items will be very helpful in preventing that from happening again.

Nacon will also be selling steering wheels “to optimise the console’s gyroscopy, designed for small hands and ideal for children.” Additionally, there’s also a folding steering wheel available for older players, which uses both Joy-Cons. Finally, Nacon will also sell grips for the Joy-Cons to make sure you don’t accidentally send your sticks flying into the TV due to slippery fingers.

Nacon confirmed that the set of Switch 2 accessories will be made available on the same day as the console’s launch. Players can expect to find these items in various retail stores as well as online via Nacon’s official website (as of writing, the site is undergoing some maintenance but should be back up soon).

Unfortunately, we don’t have a release date for the Switch 2 yet, though Nintendo plans to offer fans a deeper dive into the console on 2 April (excluding another Direct reportedly taking place in February). Hopefully, this also means we’ll get a concrete launch date for the anticipated new hardware.
