Various retailers around South Africa have begun taking sign-ups for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console. These retailers allow customers to register their interest in pre-ordering the new console ahead of its launch later this year.
This isn’t a new program. Many retailers followed the same approach with the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S as this sort of thing gives stores an idea of how many buyers will be taking a console on day one. It gives retailers direct comms with the customer on pricing, pre-order incentives, and other information.
We know nothing more in regards to the Switch 2 at the moment apart from its planned April Nintendo Direct reveal and 2025 release window. Nintendo has been tight-lipped on the console, its specifications, features, and software lineup.
