Nintendo Switch 2 Specs Leaked Along With Design – Report

Yesterday, the internet was set ablaze when supposed specs for the Nintendo Switch 2 leaked online ahead of an official announcement from Nintendo. A design was also posted showing what could potentially be the new hardware’s form factor, though it appears to be getting several conflicting reports about its authenticity.

As reported by X account Zuby_Tech, the Nintendo Switch 2 specs apparently come from an unnamed Chinese website, though it seems to be making the rounds as legitimate. It’s worth noting that none of this is official yet as this model could simply be a prototype along with its work-in-progress specifications, so take it with a pinch of salt for now.

Have a look at the full leaked specs for the Nintendo Switch 2 below:

  • HGU1100: Game console itself.
  • HGU1110: Left Joy-Con controller.

Some highlights to take from this is that it will reportedly have two cooling fans, 256GB memory and 12 GB RAM LPDDR5X.

Along with the leaked specs, an alleged design of the Nintendo Switch 2 also surfaced yesterday. For the most part, it’s sticking very close to the design of the original Switch, though the screen ratio looks much wider (reportedly a larger 8-inch screen) with more rounded corners alongside the Joy-Cons.

Nintendo Switch 2 Specs Design Leaked

However, there seems to be some conflicting information about whether or not this design is legitimate. The Verge’s Tom Warren claims that the design is actually from a Chinese 3D printing designer who’s simply a Nintendo enthusiast. However, Video Games Chronicle says the design is “in line” with what it had heard about the Switch 2. Digital Foundry also believes it is real..

Either way, it seems like an announcement of the Switch 2 is right around the corner so we won’t have to wait very long. Nintendo might be gearing up for a new Direct soon which may blow the lid open on the new hardware.
