The trial starts on 28 February at 10:00 SAT and runs until 1 March at 21:59. It includes three action-packed levels to test out as players venture to Mount Tenno to face deadly creatures waiting in the shadows.
The Nioh 2 Last Chance Trial will also include a range of weapons to test out during the demo too. Keep in mind that while progress does not carry over to the main game, the character you create using the highly-detailed creation mode will. Spend a good few minutes crafted the best-looking character you can.
Nioh 2 is a prequel to the original hardcore RPG that improves on many of the original game’s mechanics. It follows the folklore of Yokai in Japan which are spiritual beings that come in many forms. These Yokai have been crafted into the theme of Nioh 2 throughout its combat, inventory systems and even boss fights. Anyone with action RPG experience will know that combat is hardcore requiring timed blocks, Ki management and careful thought before approaching an enemy.
Nioh 2 also includes two new weapons not in the original game including a Switchglaive and Hatchet. These have been balanced to deliver fun and intense combat moments. Dual hatchets have longer range while the Switchglaive prides itself on its versatile attack styles.
The game releases on 13 March only on PS4. Take a look at the latest trailer down below and prepare for the Last Chance Trial next week.
