Earlier this month at the Tokyo Game Show, developer Team Ninja dropped an awesome new trailer for Nioh 2 and announced that the game will release in early 2020, with the PS4 being the only confirmed platform. Nioh 2 looks to be a step up from the original, with all the Soulsborne-like gameplay you could ever want and some crazy boss fights, including a rat with blades for arms. If you are looking forward to the game, you can now mark your calendars for the Nioh 2 Open Beta.

Team Ninja and PlayStation have revealed in a post on Twitter that the Nioh 2 Open Beta will run for 10 days in November. Specifically, the game’s Open Beta will take place from 1 to 10 November 2019.

At the time of writing, it is unclear what type of content players will be able to experience in the Open Beta. Hopefully, we will be able to summon some Yokai (or turn into one), fight a few bosses along the way and check out the game’s character creation system as well as three-player multiplayer and the Benevolent Graves system.
The original was a great success, selling over 2.5 million copies and Soulsborne fans look to be in for a treat with the sequel. Furthermore, it doesn’t look like you will need to pre-order the game to enjoy the Open Beta, which is always nice.
