Diablo IV is still set to launch in 2023 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. The news comes after fans of the series were led to believe that Blizzard seemingly cancelled the last-gen versions of the game. While this might sound like a not-so-surprising move after more recent PS4 and Xbox One game cancellations like Gotham Knights, Blizzard still plans to launch the game on the older hardware.
Right after the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase aired last night, Blizzard published its newest landing page for Diablo IV that included the sign-up page for the upcoming beta. However, the sign-up page doesn’t mention PS4 and Xbox One anywhere. In fact, the “pre-registration” section specifically mentions Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. There’s no PS4 or Xbox One logo on the page at all.

After fans spotted this, it was natural to think that the game was cancelled on older hardware but that isn’t the case. Blizzard confirmed the launch platforms for Diablo IV in its official press release for the game. Blizzard says that Diablo IV will support PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. In addition, the game will support cross-play and cross-progression across all platforms.
As for the beta, Blizzard has yet to share when players will be able to experience Diablo IV in beta. However, according to reports, the beta will take place before the end of the year.
