Helldivers 2

No, Helldivers 2 Has Not Been Delayed

There are rumours circling around online that Sony’s upcoming shooter Helldivers 2 has been delayed. The game is expected to launch on 8 February and that is still the case. The confusion comes from Sony’s PlayStation Presentation at CES 2024 where the gameplay snippet for Helldivers 2 shows a 28 February 2024 release date instead of 8 February.

Don’t be alarmed because the game is still scheduled to launch on 8 February. According to Arrowhead Game Studios, the date in the Sony CES 2024 press conference trailer was a typo. It was originally meant to say 8 February.

The confirmation comes from the Helldivers Reddit community where the concern was raised about the possible delay. The OP says they got direct confirmation from user Baskinator – the Arrowhead Game Studios Community and Support Lead regarding the confusion.

Perhaps the trailer was meant to say 2/8 meaning February 8. But instead, the “/” was left out by mistake. Regardless, Helldivers 2 is on track for launch… the original launch date. The game is releasing for both PS5 and PC with full cross-play support.

Arrowhead Game Studios recently detailed the PC system requirements for Helldivers 2. Be sure to check them out here. You can also read more about the pre-order incentives here.
