BioWare says fans shouldn’t expect any major updates or big news on the next Mass Effect game (or unofficially known as Mass Effect 5) this coming N7 Day. The annual official day, which takes places on 7 November each year, celebrates everything in the Mass Effect series which has since become one of BioWare’s biggest and most well-known franchises. Unfortunately, fans hoping for news on the next Mass Effect won’t get much this year, mainly due to the recently released Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
BioWare released a tweet on Twitter/X confirming that updates surrounding the next Mass Effect will be “quieter” this year as the team focuses on the post-launch support of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. “We hope everyone is enjoying their time in Dragon Age: The Veilguard,” said BioWare. “It’s only a few days until N7 Day and this year will be quieter because of launch. Be sure to check back then for a little fun, though!”
Historically, BioWare released short teasers on previous N7 Days to get fans excited for the upcoming Mass Effect game, which still doesn’t have an official title. These teasers usually shared bits of plot details or cryptic clues to keep fans busy on message boards and forums. Since Dragon Age: The Veilguard seems to be the studio’s priority at the moment, it’s understandable why news regarding Mass Effect might be silent this year.
We hope everyone is enjoying their time in #DragonAge: The Veilguard. It’s only a few days until #N7Day and this year will be quieter because of launch. Be sure to check back then for a little fun, though!

The latest update on the upcoming Mass Effect title was given by project director Michael Gamble, who stated that the new game will maintain the mature tone of the original trilogy and won’t have a different art style as is the case with Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
