BioWare launched Dragon Age: The Veilguard to great success last week as the RPG became the most-played single-player launch on Steam. The peak player count even surpassed Star War Jedi: Survivor. BioWare is also happy with the success of the game but has confirmed that no DLC is planned for it.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, John Epler, creative director on Dragon Age: The Veilguard at Bioware says there are no plans to support the game with any DLC. He says the focus has now shifted to Mass Effect as most of the team working on Dagon Age will now take on new roles in the space RPG.
Epler didn’t share any details on how far development is for the next Mass Effect, however, BioWare has already confirmed that N7 day will not feature any major announcements on the project. N7 Day takes place on 7 November. The game is likely still in early development with little to showcase at this time.
Despite social media uproar by certain demographics over Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the game is doing well. The RPG hit an all-time high peak player count yesterday on Steam with 89,418 users in-game.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is now out on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
