Keanu Reeves will be playing a vital roll in the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 as Johnny Silverhand but those of you thinking of getting kinky with the character think again. While Keanu Reeves, aka Johnny Silverhand, will be the player’s closest ally throughout the game, he won’t be close enough to you that you will be able to romance him.

According to an interview with Video games Chronicle, you cannot romance Keanu Reeves in Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt Red Level Designer Max Pears told VGC during an interview in regards to character interactions with V that;

We really want to make sure players get the representation that they want. In the genre of Cyberpunk as well, it asks such deep questions about what it means to be human, let alone what it means to define your gender. Having that customisation match how you feel is your representation of how you feel… it’s important for us and it’s important to the lore of this world too.”[/perfectpullquote]
We already know Cyberpunk 2077 removed genders from the game in order to make the experience fully customizable and the game will feature a multiplayer mode which will launch well after release. For everything Cyberpunk 2077 is, we really don’t mind not being able to romance Johnny Silverhand. So far the game seems to be doing a great job in other departments.
CD Projekt Red plans to release Cyberpunk 2077 on 16 April 2020 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
