According to VideoCardz, the performance of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti indeed outclasses the RTX 2060 SUPER.  They managed to get their hands on a slide sent to the press and used the bars to provide some rough performance numbers across various games and apps. The site claims that the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti performs better than both the 2060 SUPER and the 2080 Super in all scenarios.

The benchmarks, which you can see down below, are divided into three groups including rasterizing, ray tracing, and rendering. Even with fewer RT cores on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, it performs better than the 2080 SUPER when it comes to ray tracing.

The 3060 Ti includes 38 RT cores compared to the 48 in the 2080 SUPER. In addition, NVIDIA is said to use 8GB of GDDR6 RAM on the new GPU which is identical to the 2080 SUPER. Keep in mind that the new 3060 Ti RAM is clocked at 14Gbps compared to 15.5GBps on the 2080 SUPER. Considering the numbers, the new card is more affordable and packs quite an improvement in power.
