NVIDIA announced its new range of RTX 30 series GPUs earlier this week. The new lineup includes an NVIDIA RTX 3070, 3080 and the insane new 3090. The top-of-the-range model is every gamer’s dream graphics card and while NVIDIA created it for production houses and other tech industries, gamers can still dream about one day owning it in their rig. The company released a handful of NVIDIA RTX 3090 8K benchmarks showing just what the GPU can do.

The NVIDIA RTX 3090 is capable of 8K 60fps gaming according to the company and the first benchmarks show this is true. NVIDIA ran games such as Control, Apex Legends, Forza Horizon 4, and Death Stranding. All of which surpassed the 60fps target in 8K. NVIDIA also revealed how the DLSS enhancements improved performance. Control, for example, ran at 8fps (I know right) in 8K and hit 57fps with DLSS on. The same is said for Wolfenstein which ran as 26fps and then hit 74fps with DLSS on.
This is just a taste of what is to come for the GPU. NVIDIA will no doubt enhance and optimize game drivers to get even more juice out of the RTX 3090 in the coming months. Needless to say, the GPU is a monster device. That VRAM and performance go a long way to create the future of gaming. Find out more about the full range of new GPUs here.
