NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060

NVIDIA RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 Specs Leak Online Revealing 32GB of GDDR7 RAM and 600W Spec

NVIDIA is reportedly getting ready to showcase its 50-series GPUs. We will likely get to see these cards in the flesh early next year but for the time being, the specs have leaked online and they are pretty intense. According to VideoCardz, the NVIDIA RTX 5090 and NVIDIA RTX 5080 will pack quite a lot of performance and need a lot of power to do so.

First, let’s start with the NVIDIA RTX 5090. This will be NVIDIA’s flagship 50-series GPU. According to the specs, the card will include 32GB of GDDR7 RAM and have a 600-watt spec.

The report says this leaked 600W specification isn’t clear if it is the entire motherboard or just the GPU. However, the card uses 150W more than the RTX 4090. The card comes with a 512-bit but and 21,760 CUDA cores.

As for the NVIDIA RTX 5080, this card is said to use 400W of power up from the 320W on the RTX 4080. It will include 16GB of GDDR7 RAM and pack a 256-bit memory bus with 10,752 CUDA cores.

It will be interesting to see what NVIDIA has done with the RTX 5080 because, from a spec point of view, the GPU doesn’t beat the current RTX 4090. There are likely other tech advancements in the card that offer better performance but the numbers show the 5080 is still outperformed by the 4090.

Of course, NVIDIA is likely working on other 50-Series cards including 5060 and 5070 variants. However, the company will debut the 5090 and 5080 first as the two main GPUs under the new Blackwell architecture. The company took over two years to roll out its entire 40-Series range which also started with only the 4080 and 4090 at first.

All eyes will be on CES 2024 where it is claimed that NVIDIA will debut the GPUs. We will likely see more information about the cards leak in the months leading up to the reveal. For now, if you’re looking to grab one you best start saving. Given the price tag of the 4090 and 4080 at launch, these new 50-Series cards won’t come cheap.
