NVIDIA Teases Limited Edition Cyberpunk 2077 GPU

NVIDIA could be working on a fancy limited edition Cyberpunk 2077 GPU. Over on the weekend, the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account chimed in and asked the hardware maker if they would ever be keen on making a limited edition card based on the upcoming game. NVIDIA simply replied with the thinking emoji. A little while later, the company then teased an image of a GPU with a striking yellow border and said: “stay tuned…”.

The image of the NVIDIA Cyberpunk 2077 GPU is not clear but from what we can gather, it has a clear resemblance to the upcoming sci-fi game’s aesthetic. It is also unclear whether or not this GPU will modelled after a current-generation RTX card or it will release alongside NVIDIA’s rumoured next-gen architecture.

Cyberpunk 2077 was delayed last month after CD Projekt RED revealed they needed more time with the game. The release date was moved from 16 April 2020 all the way to 17 September 2020. Although NVIDIA has not revealed any release plans for this styled GPU, it could be released at a much later date. Closer to the game’s launch in September.

Whatever they are planning, we will share the news if this GPU proves to be a big deal. Who knows? Perhaps NVIDIA will bundle the game with it or even launch this as a special “Collector’s Edition” piece of hardware. It is still way too early to tell.
