The NVIDIA App will officially release out of beta by the end of 2024 and migrate all users away from the current GeForce Experience. The app acts as the new way users can manage their GPUs and at the same time, update drivers and tweak game performance. It is also a lot more accessible because there’s no sign-in requirement.
Today, NVIDIA released a new version of the beta app to get it ready for its final launch. The app has received a handful of settings including the ability to turn G-Sync on and off, multi-monitor support for RTX HDR and driver rollback. The app will also send a notification if you’re playing DRM content while using ShadowPlay recording.
NVIDIA plans on integrating the NVIDIA Control Panel settings into this new app over time. As a result, you’ll only use one dedicated app going forward. The new app includes NVIDIA’s latest AI apps and everything you’ll usually find in the Experience App. It is much cleaner and easier to get around if you ask me.
NVIDIA also makes it easy to pull the app up over Windows by simply pressing Alt + Z. Here, you’ll now be a to access the new HDR Game Filters.
“RTX HDR is an AI-powered game filter accessible in games via Alt+Z > Game Filter that seamlessly brings the vibrant world of High Dynamic Range (HDR) to games without HDR. Only 12 of the top 50 most-played GeForce games offer HDR support and, with the RTX HDR filter, you can take full advantage of your HDR-compatible monitor in thousands of SDR games running on DX12, DX11, DX9, and Vulkan, further enhancing your experience.”
If you haven’t downloaded the NVIDIA App yet, you can grab the beta from the website here. It says “beta” but the app is actually quite stable and bug-free.
