Oddworld Soulstorm PS5 PlayStation Plus April 2021

Oddworld Soulstorm Launches Today – Free For PS5 PlayStation Plus Subscribers

Today is a good day for those looking for a new game to play. Oddworld Soulstorm debuts on PS5, PS4 and PC through the Epic Games Store. Best of all, the game is free for PlayStation Plus subscribers on PS5 so you can jump into the planet of Oddworld and begin saving the thousands of Mudokons who need your help.

If you have never played the original Abe’s Exoddus then you probably don’t know what Oddworld Soulstorm is all about. In short, Abe is tasked to save the imprisoned Mudokons who have become slaves to the Glukkons. He needs to stop the production of the SoulStorm Brew which is a highly addictive, non-alcoholic drink produced by the Glukkons.

SoulStorm Brew is extremely addictive to Mudokons. Just one sip and the species can become solely reliant on the beverage. The Glukkons use this against the Mudokons by forcing them to work for them in exchange for the brew.

While Oddworld Soulstorm is heavily inspired by the original Abe’s Exoddus, the game is also very much its own standalone experience that has been built from the ground up as a full remake. Players will find new mechanics to master including crafting and scavenging and also have to save thousands of Mudokons from the grasp of the Glukkons.

Developer Oddworld Inhabitants just released a pretty awesome Oddworld Soulstorm trailer to celebrate the game’s launch. Check it out down below.
