All Baldur's Gate 3 Companions Ranked Worst to Best

One Baldur’s Gate 3 Ending is So Rare, Only 34 Players Have Found It

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a sprawling RPG where your decisions shape the entire story and character arcs. There are hundreds of paths to take, meaning you’d have to replay the game countless times if you wish to experience everything that the award-winning game has to offer. However, one hidden ending in the game is so rare, only 34 players have found it. Yes, out of a possible millions of players, only 34 have managed to follow very precise steps to unlock the rarest ending in the game.

Last week, Larian Studios revealed a bunch of players stats for Baldur’s Gate 3 such as the most kissed companions, most popular Origin characters and more. There’s a lot of information to dig through but one specific stat revealed that only 34 players managed to achieve its rarest ending. This got players questioning exactly what steps were taken to get to this conclusion.

Luckily, YouTuber SlimX recently discovered the path taken to get this ending. This involves using Lae’zel as an Origin character – the least popular Origin character in the game – and playing through the story to side with the Githyanki and Vlaakith. However, specific steps need to be taken in order to get to this rare ending. Lae’zel must stay loyal to Vlaakith, become a Mind Flayer and kill Orpheus. At the end of the game, you’re then given an option to kill yourself as Avatar Lae’zel. If you do, this unlocks the rarest ending in the game.

It’s easy to see why players avoided this particular route. The Mind Flayers are not only the sworn enemy of the Githyanki, but Lae’zel herself has a burning hatred for the species. It would be extremely out-of-character for her to suddenly choose to become a Mind Flayer, betray Vlaakith and doom her entire race in the process. If you want to see the precise steps to get this ending, check out SlimX’s video below. There’s another secret ending that nobody has unlocked yet, though this requires a bit of hacking because it’s literally impossible to achieve.
