Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 Ultimate Edition, a new edition that packages all-new story content, characters and more into the main campaign. New DLC that comes with the Ultimate Edition includes Yamato in a new episode alongside Monkey D. Luffy, who is also able to tap into his Gear 5 form thanks to recent updates.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 originally launched in March 2020 and followed the Musou-styled combat of the previous games in the series. Players can journey across the main story of the One Piece manga from Eiichiro Oda and take part in some of the most iconic moments and events from the series including the Marineford War and Wano, which was expanded in a recent update. Some content, such as the entire Dressrosa arc, is not available in the game but it is playable in Pirate Warriors 3.

A press release for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 Ultimate Edition reads:
“The new DLC coming with the Ultimate Edition builds on the experience with three new episodes. The first episode, ‘Yamato’s Adventure,’ starring Monkey. D. Luffy and his ally Yamato, featuring an all-new map, is available today. Two upcoming episodes will be available for download in the near future. Also available now as part of the new edition are Character Packs 1-4, along with access to upcoming Packs 5 and 6, which will also launch in the near future.”
In other news, Netflix recently renewed its live-action One Piece series for a second season. The show’s producers have plans to adapt Oda’s manga across at least six seasons though that could easily extend to 12 due to the long nature of the source material.
