The live-action One Piece series from Netflix has finally cast its actors to play Nico Robin and Crocodile for season 2, two figures who will likely have a bigger presence in the third season. It’s been rumoured for a couple of months now but it finally looks like Joe Manganiello has been confirmed to play the villain Mr. 0/Crocodile while newcomer Lera Abova will play Miss All Sunday/Nico Robin, eventually destined to become part of the Straw Hat Pirates.
Netflix Tudum (via ScreenTime) revealed today that Joe Manganiello and Lera Abova have joined season 2 of the live-action One Piece to portray Crocodile and Nico Robin, respectively. Sticking to One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda’s envisioned real-life nationalities that inspired the characters, Lera Abova is a Russian actress which is fitting considering Oda mentioned Nico Robin was inspired by Russian heritage as well.
Joe Manganiello, on the other hand, is perfectly suited for the role of Crocodile as he embodies both the physical traits of the character as well as his menacing voice and personality.

In case you missed it, check out the other cast members who will be joining season 2 of the live-action One Piece including David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3 and Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine.
The showrunners previously confirmed that season 2 of the series will adapt Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden and Drum Island from the manga source material, meaning it’s likely that season 3 will focus exclusively on the massive Arabasta arc where Crocodile and Nico Robin will have more prominent roles. Drum Island is also significant as it introduces us to the Straw Hat’s anthropomorphic reindeer doctor, Tony Tony Chopper, though casting has been decided on the character yet.
Joe Manganiello will be attending Comic Con Africa this year as one of the international guest stars. Now it makes sense why the actor is in South Africa as One Piece is being shot in Cape Town.
