The 2025 Oscars aired last night (or for South Africans, in the early hours of this morning), pitting several potential candidates against each other in the big categories. Some of the candidates included The Brutalist, Emilia Perez, Dune: Part Two, Wicked and Conclave. However, Sean Baker’s dark romance-comedy Anora ended up taking home Best Picture along with a multitude of other awards. Here are all the winners from the 2025 Oscars.
Anora ended up winning five Oscars in total including Best Picture, Best Director for Sean Baker and Best Actress for the movie’s lead, Mikey Madison. Elsewhere, The Brutalist won three Oscars, the most important being actor Adrien Brody’s win for Best Actor.
