During the Square Enix Presents stream last night the publisher dropped a brand-new trailer for the upcoming co-op RPG shooter Outriders. The Outriders 101 trailer does a great job detailing everything players can expect to see and do when the game launches on 1 April 2021.

From how the players transform into powerful walking mutants to a showcase of weapons, enemies, areas and more. The Outriders 101 trailer also touches on the playable classes in the game and how players can easily respec their skill tree in order to switch their playstyle up and build better characters that suit their current loadout.

People Can Fly describes each class as “completely unique” starting off with the Trickstar. This class lets players get up close and personal when going head to head against enemies. They can teleport and use a powerful temporal slice to decimate their foes.

The Technomancer is all about its gadgets. Players combine the power of the anomaly with these droppable traps and skills which all have their own unique role. Some of them act as living weapons that fire rockets at enemies while others are an area of effect attacks that can stun, freeze and damage nearby enemies.

The Devastator class is a tank in human form. He is tough to kill thanks to his skill that grant massive armour boosts. However, he can also defy gravity with giant leaps into the air while slamming down on enemies. He can also call forth the earth to impale creatures who stand in his way.

Lastly, there’s the Pyromancer. As the name suggests, this class is all about fire. He can leech life from enemies while burning them alive. His skills also allow him to take out enemies behind cover with massive walls of fire.

People Can Fly claim that each class and how you build them up will play a key role in Outrider’s end-game content called Expeditions. These activities pit players against the toughest enemies in the game and rely on teamwork and the best gear and skills. Players will have access to their Outriders convoy where they can kit it out with all sorts of new gear and even show off their biggest kills by placing a monster trophy on the front.

This mobile hub follows you into a co-op game so you can show it off to friends. Expeditions are said to be the toughest challenge in Outriders that also grants the best gear possible so it is most likely where you will spend most of your time. If you are into the looter-shooter grind that is. Check out the Outriders trailer down below and prepare for its launch on 1 April 2021 for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Remember, the game is free for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
