Overwatch 2 will come with a dedicated PvE mode called “Hero Missions” that will see you and your team head to different parts of the world to save towns and cities from different threats. Blizzard claims the game will feature a dedicated story experience in these Hero Missions. This mode will also feature its own dedicated progressions system where you can upgrade your hero, unlock new styles for your attacks and even new abilities.
Overwatch 2 will come with multiple new heroes, Blizzard revealed. The studio also touched on current progression revealing that all original Overwatch players will be able to play on all the current maps in the new game. All progression including skins and other cosmetics will transfer to the new game too. We need some clarity on how the transfer of maps and content will work but Blizzard will touch on more in the coming months.
As for the PvP, Blizzard revealed a new core mode called Push. This mode sees a robot protect the team while they advance the objective. Blizzard promised the same core competitive multiplayer experience will be featured in the game.
