Blizzard Entertainment is adding a new hero to Overwatch 2 named Juno. A trailer was accompanied by the announcement showing the space ranger Juno in action, some of her gameplay and what her unique abilities bring to the game.
Juno will arrive as part of Season 12 for Overwatch 2, which kicks off on 20 August. However, as soon as today, fans can log in and try her out until 21 July. She brings a few cool abilities that are sure to shake up Overwatch 2‘s gameplay. Her Pulsar Torpedoes, for example, can hit multiple opponents simultaneously while her Hyper Ring provides her teammates with a nifty speed boost after passing through it. Additionally, she can also provide healing with her Mediblaster.
Blizzard provided a description for Juno:
“Armed with her versatile Mediblaster and Pulsar Torpedoes, Juno provides simultaneous healing and damage in support of her team. Juno is equipped with Pulsar Torpedoes that can lock onto multiple targets. Her Glide Boost ability allows her to swiftly maneuver the battlefield to provide critical support wherever she’s needed. Juno’s Hyper Ring propels the team into action, while her Ultimate Orbital Ray boosts damage and replenishes health.”

Juno was already teased as “the Space Ranger” during BlizzCon 2023 but she has finally been revealed. The lore surrounding her character is a bit foggy at the moment – some suggest she may have a connection to Mei’s childhood friend Jiayi – but we’ll surely know more information when the hero officially arrives on 20 August.
Back in March with the kick-off of Season 10, Blizzard announced that it was no longer locking heroes behind battle passes or additional purchases. Now, players can enjoy all of the heroes in the game without the needless grind to unlock them.
