Blizzard has announced the return of the Overwatch Halloween Terror event and it will kick off sometime today alongside the release of the Overwatch Switch launch. It is an exciting time for Overwatch players as last year’s Halloween event was great and we will see the return of Junkenstein’s Revenge.

The Overwatch Halloween Terror 2019 event begins today (15 October) and will run until 4 November 2019. At the time of writing, the event has not been released by Blizzard just yet but expect it to release sometime around 20:00 SAST judging by the time the event was revealed and past updates.

As you can see from the announcement, there’s a new, creepy emote animation for Zenyatta and, of course, the return of the co-op, wave-based mode Junkenstein’s Revenge. Apart from these, not much else is known about the Overwatch Halloween Terror 2019 event, but you can expect more skins with a Halloween theme, as well as sprays, emotes and hopefully some really cool legendary skins for players to earn.
There is also a good possibility that a new patch will release with the Overwatch Halloween Terror 2019 event with a tonne of hero balances that have been available for testing on the PTR. Lastly, Junkertown will reportedly be this year’s new Halloween map and Hollywood, Chateau Guillard, as well as Eichenwalde, will likely be getting some makeovers for the spooky event.
