Palworld Anniversary Reveals Future Content Plans and Updates

Palworld is one year old this month. The game launched back in January of 2024 to massive acclaim. If anything, Palworld was a landmark game back in 2024, amassing millions of players across PC and Xbox within the first few weeks on the market. As Pocketpair continues to update the game’s early access build, the studio has shared details on what players can expect from the content in the months ahead.

Keep in mind that Pocketpair hasn’t stated whether or not Palworld will leave early access in 2025. The studio says the build will get the final boss and ending scenario in 2025, but that doesn’t mean the game’s development will exit early access.

Along with the ending and final boss, Pocketpair is also working on various content updates for Palworld, including new pals, game collaborations, improvements to the UX, co-op cross-play, the ability to transfer pals across worlds, and more. The full list of content includes:

  • CO-OP Crossplay
  • World Transfers for Pals
  • Final Boss / Ending Scenario
  • Further ways to strengthen and improve Pals
  • Various new content such as new Pals and technologies
  • Game Collaborations (Including Terraria)
  • Improvements to world object placement
  • Improvements to base Pals
  • Improvements to optimization
  • Improvements to UX

Pocketpair hasn’t dated any of this content either. The studio says these features are in the works, but no exact release date has been shared. The roadmap simply divided the content into major updates and other improvements.

While Palworld might have lost the majority of its player base over the last 12 months, the open-world monster tamer is still played by a few million players each month. No doubt that as this new content arrives, more players will join in on the experience.

Palworld is currently available in early access on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
