Palworld, the Xbox console exclusive monster-collecting survival title, has been leaked for PS5 ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2024. Developer Pocket Pair began teasing the possibility of the game finally coming to PS5 since June this year, though it seems like some progress is finally being made on the port.
Palworld initially launched in early access earlier this year on Xbox Series X/S and PC, becoming one of 2024’s biggest releases. It eventually amassed over 25 million players across both platforms, solidifying its success – and that was achieved without a full release. PlayStation players were mostly left out of the trendy game, though, with Pocket Pair teasing that it had been working on a PS5 port for months.
As reported by Gematsu, a PS5 version of Palworld has been spotted on the list of games for this year’s Tokyo Game Show, posted by CESA today. Gematsu notes that this list isn’t definitive but it is a good indication that we’ll probably see Palworld grace Sony’s console in some capacity in the next few months. Pocket Pair previously revealed that there weren’t any talks happening with Microsoft regarding an acquisition, so the court is open for the game to head to other platforms.

If Palworld does release on PS5 soon, it will likely still be the early access version that Xbox and PC players have had access to since the beginning of the year. Pocket Pair hasn’t revealed how far along the game is from receiving a full release. Back in February this year, the studio said that it was severely understaffed and had been taking on new talents over the last few months to keep up with the game’s support and development process.
