Payday 3 Release Date Seemingly Leaked Online

Payday 3 will reportedly release in September. According to the reliable leaker Aggiorament Lumia, the game’s release date was spotted in a data mine on the Xbox and Windows Store before the developers managed to officially announce it.

While Starbreeze Studios has yet to confirm an appearance of Payday 3 during the week-long Summer Game Fest announcements, the release date leak has seemingly hinted at the game being on show. We just don’t know when exactly the game will debut. It might be during the Xbox Showcase this week or perhaps the Summer Game Fest next week.

The release date for Payday 3, as it stands, is currently 21 September with early access on 18 September. The game was announced all the way back in 2016. However, at the time, publisher Prime Matter was working on the sequel. Starbreeze Studios then acquired the rights to the Payday license for $30 million and took over the project.

Payday 3 is set after the events of Payday 2 and is set in New York. It has been built on Unreal Engine and will follow a live service approach with 18 months of planned content set to launch after its release.

At the moment, all hints are pointing to an Xbox Game Pass launch for Payday 3 but we’ll have to wait and see what happens in the days ahead.
