Rockstar released GTA The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition last week and it hasn’t gone down as well as the company thought it would. Gamers all over the globe have shared their experience across the three games and so far, things aren’t looking good at all. The main issue surrounding online hate revolves around the game’s visuals. So much so that players have often referred to the original games as the better-looking versions. Players have now started sharing their experiences on Metacritic which has brought the game’s user score down to an almost-impossible 0.5,
The 0.5 Metacritic score is based on around 2700 user reviews with most of the scores for those reviews sitting on 0. Around 2500 of the user reviews are 0/10 with major complaints around them all.

Some user reviews for GTA The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition read as follows:
Users are trashing the game’s visuals and even some of the gameplay elements that are dated. However, the GTA The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition bugs are also a major issue at the moment even though most of them revolve around visual bugs in the game. One visual issue, which was intentionally implemented into the game is the rain.
Players have complained about the rain in GTA: San Andreas. The game seems to use ropy strands of after which run down your screen and make things hard to see. Even worse, when users drive near water, the rain doesn’t show over that portion of the screen. How did this past QA?
But the issues and unhappy gamers don’t end there. Social media is filled with gamers sharing their experiences with GTA The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. Many of them are in complete shock as to how Rockstar let this game release with the so-called “visual changes” that are found in the game. Here are some of the best ones I could find online.

You’ll find plenty of general spelling errors. I think they used an automated program to resize and clean up textures. The app seems to mistake “D” for “O” a lot.
