Last week during the Xbox Games Showcase, Atlus officially unveiled Persona 3 Reload, a full remake of Persona 3, as well as Persona 5 Tactica, a new tactics game based in the universe of Persona 5. Both games were initially announced for Xbox and PC platforms but Atlus has now announced that it will also be coming to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch as well.
More specifically, Persona 5 Tactica will release on 17 November 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC. However, Persona 3 Reload will launch in early 2024 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC but not for Nintendo Switch. Atlus hasn’t announced if Switch players will be able to get their hands on the remake though it seems unlikely that the game will come to Nintendo’s platform.

Persona 3 Reload is a full remake of Persona 3 complete with overhauled AI, improved visuals and sound. The game’s English cast has also mostly been replaced, with new voice actors such as Allegra Clark (Bloodhound in Apex Legends) and Dawn Bennet (Pokemon, Fire Emblem) joining the English ensemble.
Additionally, Persona 3 Reload will not include any contents from FES or Portable as Atlus aimed to simply remake the original Persona 3. “So first I’d like to mention that since the basic concept of the Persona 3 remake was to remake the Persona 3, we don’t have the FES and Portable contents included,” said producer Ryota Niitsuma in an interview with IGN. “We wanted to really genuinely work on recreating the Persona 3 experience.”
Persona 5 Tactica is a strategy RPG and another spin-off of Persona 5. Atlus has confirmed that players who purchase the PS4 version will be able to upgrade to the PS5 version free of charge, with all save data being carried over.
Persona 3 Reload launches in early 2024 while Persona 5 Tactica launches on 17 November 2023.
