Persona 3 Reload Gets Official Opening Movie

The upcoming Persona 3 Reload, a full remake of the original Persona 3, has received its official opening movie containing a new music track and visuals. While the long wait continues for Persona 6, fans are eager to jump into a revamp of the third Persona game which rebuilds the game from the ground up, bringing it closer to the accessibility and style of the best-selling entry in the franchise, Persona 5.

The opening video for Persona 3 Reload is what players will see when they first boot up the game. The opening features a newly recorded song called “Full Moon Full Life!”, mixing elements of hip-hop, jazz and rock. If there’s one thing that the Persona games are known for, it’s the music and it sounds like Reload won’t disappoint in that department. The track is catchy and memorable, matching the excellent animated visuals.

Persona 3 Reload will launch early next month on PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms. However, it will also release day one on Xbox Game Pass which is a big deal considering how much the fanbase has grown over the years since the launch of Persona 5. Reload also shouldn’t be confused with the remastered Persona 3 Portable, which is a port of the PSP version that contains new content.

The official description for Persona 3 Reload via Steam reads:

“Step into the shoes of a transfer student thrust into an unexpected fate when entering the hour “hidden” between one day and the next. Awaken an incredible power and chase the mysteries of the Dark Hour, fight for your friends, and leave a mark on their memories forever. Persona 3 Reload is a captivating reimagining of the genre-defining RPG, reborn for the modern era.”

Persona 3 Reload releases on 2 February 2024 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Watch the full opening video below:
