The rumoured Persona 3 remake is apparently set to be revealed at the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase. A report from earlier this year on a verified ResetEra thread claimed that both Persona 6 and the Persona 3 remake were going to be revealed this summer, which lines up with the upcoming showcase. It’s unclear if this means we’ll also see Persona 6 revealed in some capacity soon but the new rumour seems confident in the remake happening.
The ResetEra thread was recently posted to Reddit which claims that the remake of Persona 3 will finally be unveiled at the Xbox Games Showcase set to take place on 11 June. This isn’t to be confused with the remastered Persona 3 Portable that’s currently available on consoles and PC. Atlus is a tough studio to predict what will be shown next from the company and when it will be shown so take this with a grain of salt for now.

The Persona 3 remake being announced at the Xbox Games Showcase might seem like an odd choice since the series has a stronger foothold in PlayStation. However, Microsoft seems to be on good terms with Atlus since Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal are all currently available to play on Xbox Game Pass.
The official description for Persona 3 Portable reads:
“Experience the iconic, critically acclaimed RPG that reinvented the Persona series, Persona 3 Portable, now newly remastered for modern platforms. Shortly after transferring to Gekkoukan High School, the protagonist encounters the ‘Dark Hour.’ Unfamiliar stillness swallows the city, people turn into eerie coffins, and otherworldly monsters called Shadows swarm. When they are attacked by one of these Shadows, and all hope seems lost, the power of the heart, their Persona is awakened.”
The Xbox Games Showcase takes place on 11 June. We’ll know if this rumour turns out to be true by then.
