Atlus is reportedly planning to announce both Persona 6 and the rumoured Persona 3 Remake this summer. According to a new report, both games are “very far along in development” and might be revealed in the coming months, though no dates were given.
Atlus released a survey last year asking Persona fans what game in the series they’d love to see remade, with Persona 3 coming out on top but tied with Persona 2: Innocent Sin. This led fans to speculate that the studio might be working on a remake of either title, which might possibly be Persona 3 according to the latest rumour.

A new thread posted on ResetEra, which has since been verified by a mod, claims that Persona 6 and Persona 3 Remake will be announced sometime this summer. Both titles are seemingly a lot further in development than we initially thought. It makes sense that Persona 6 would be revealed at this stage as seven years have passed since Persona 5 released. That would’ve given Atlus enough time to work on a follow-up in between the various new editions and spin-offs of Persona 5.
The original leaker also stated that the games were supposed to have been revealed already, but Atlus kept changing reveal dates and times for some unknown reason. We speculate that the studio wanted the attention to be on the recently released Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden games that came to Xbox Game Pass and wider platforms this week.
This is exciting news for Persona fans, especially with regards to Persona 6. Atlus already confirmed in mid-2021 that Persona 6 was in active development, though it was still in the early stages. Perhaps development ramped up over the past couple of years and it looks like a reveal is finally heading our way this year. That doesn’t necessary mean that both games will be released this year, but it’s good to know that we’ll probably get a first look at the anticipated titles soon.
As with all reports, take this with a pinch of salt until we get official confirmation from Atlus.
