Persona 3 Reload Review

Persona 6 Colour Scheme is Green – Development Began in 2019

Atlus has yet to announce Persona 6 but thanks to leaks and rumours, we have some new information to digest. A new leak from a reliable insider reveals that the anticipated sixth installment in the long-running RPG series will don a green colour scheme. It also reportedly began development sometime in 2019 alongside Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica.

The leak originates from Atlus and Sega insider Midori, who has a great track record of accurate industry leaks. According to Midori, Persona 6 will use a green colour scheme which has become common in the franchise. Persona 3 used a blue colour scheme, Persona 4 used yellow/gold and Persona 5 used red. Beyond the visuals, Midori also revealed that the game began development alongside the Persona 3 remake and tactics-based spin-off of Persona 5 in 2019.

Since it began development almost five years ago, fans speculate that Persona 6 is near completion and an official announcement could happen this year, either at Summer Game Fest or The Game Awards towards the end of the year.

Persona 6 has been the subject of plenty of reports and rumours, many of which can’t be verified so take all of this information with a grain of salt. A report from February this year revealed that the game will once again take place in a high school setting, as is the case for all entries in the franchise. Midori also claimed back in November 2023 that Atlus could be planning to release Persona 6 in 2025.

Last August, Xbox Era host Nick Baker claimed that Persona 6 might be heading to Xbox on day one. This is quite a big deal because Persona 5 initially launched on PlayStation as a timed exclusive before finding its way to other platforms only years later. It seems like Microsoft might’ve smoothened out a new deal to get the anticipated sixth title on Xbox day and date with other platforms.

Persona 6 is currently in development. Stay tuned for more news and updates.
