Frontier Developments has announced that Planet Coaster 2 will launch on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on 6 November. The follow-up to the popular amusement park simulator was announced just last month. It merges the thrill rides and rollercoasters from the original game with water parks so now you can have the best of both worlds.
But Planet Coaster 2 isn’t just the same game with water parks tacted-on. Well, I hope not. The game boasts a number of new features and a greatly expanded customization system where users can take any ride and fully deck it out with accessories to turn it into their own themed attraction.
Frontier has been sharing a number of videos related to Planet Coaster 2’s new features. The first deep dive covers the combination of water parks and coasters. The second deep dive touches on all the customization features in the game.
If you’re keen to get your hands on Planet Coaster 2 in November, you can pre-order the game now. There are two different versions you can pre-order alongside some bonus items if you grab any one of them. The Standard Edition includes the game and the Bonus Ride Collection, including the rotating tracked ride FD Vision, the Outmax Water Coaster, and the dizzying flat ride The Cube.
The Deluxe Edition includes the game, the Bonus Ride Collection and the Vintage Funfair Ride Pack. Both versions are available on all platforms and unlock access on 6 November.

We don’t know if you’ll be able to purchase the Vintage Funfair Ride Pack separately should you buy the Standard Edition. It will most likely be the case given how many dozens of DLC packs are available for sale for the original game.
