Plants Vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Leaked

Just a week after EA hosted its closed alpha test for an unnamed game under the codename of “Picnic“, the latest entry in the Garden Warfare series seems to be rebranded as Plants Vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville.

But it was not only the name that has leaked. The cover art as well as as a trailer which seems to be still a work in progress has also been uploaded to YouTube.

The trailer showcases the game’s new characters which seem to include a ninja mushroom, a fire-spiting dragon plant, and an acorn that transforms into a giant tree – all on the plant’s side.

The zombies include a new rollerskating zombie, a Rambo-inspired zombie that shoots arrows and can ride a giant missile that shoots smaller missiles, and a UFO-riding space girl. The trailer is very much in production as it is missing frames and has a lot of storyboards missing which still needs to be added but it gives us enough of a glimpse at the game to come.

Plants Vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville seems to be the direct sequel to the Garden Warfare series as it also includes all past plants and zombie fighters. EA Games will no doubt release the official announcement of the game soon at Gamescom.

As for the release date of Plants Vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, this is still up for debate. EA revealed back in May the company planned on releasing both a new Need for Speed, which is being announced tomorrow and a new Plants Vs Zombies game before the end of 2019 so this release could be on the market soon.
