Code Vein, the long-awaited action-RPG from Bandai Namco, releases on 27 September 2019 promising all the vampires, blood and challenge you could hope for. Before the release later this month, you can now try the game for yourself in the free Code Vein demo on PS4 and Xbox One.
Unfortunately for PC gamers, the free Code Vein demo seems to be limited to consoles. You can download the demo, weighing in at roughly 9 GB by heading to the PlayStation Store or the Xbox Store right now.
The free Code Vein demo allows you to create your character (a Revenant) and jump into the game’s starting areas in this anime-style Souls-like ARPG. The announcement video of the free Code Vein demo features some awesome, gothic areas for the players to explore, as well as a demo-exclusive version of a dungeon called The Depths that is sure to test players’ skill.

Towering skyscrapers, once symbols of prosperity, are now lifeless graves of humanity’s past pierced by the Thorns of Judgment.
At the centre of the destruction lies a hidden society of Revenants called Vein. This final stronghold is where the remaining few fight to survive, blessed with Gifts of power in exchange for their memories and a thirst for blood. Give into the bloodlust fully and risk becoming one of the Lost, fiendish ghouls devoid of any remaining humanity. Wandering aimlessly in search of blood, the Lost will stop at nothing to satisfy their hunger. [/perfectpullquote]
It is always great to see when a publisher has enough confidence in a title that they release a free demo for people to try out before purchasing the game. Code Vein releases on 27 September on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
