Ryan supposedly goes on to say that PlayStation is “multi-faceted and diverse, holding many different points of view”. Furthermore, he stated that “we owe it to each other and to PlayStation’s millions of users to respect differences of opinions among everyone in our internal and external communities”. Ryan also stated that “Respect does not equal agreement. But it is fundamental to who we are as a company and as a valued global brand”.
PlayStation boss Jim Ryan sent an email today asking his staff to “respect differences of opinion” on abortion rights. Then he wrote five paragraphs about his two cats’ birthdays, their habits, and his desire to get a dog.

An internal conversation also reportedly seen by Bloomberg highlighted that internal employees are not happy about Ryan’s tone in the communication. Some employees felt as though their rights were “disrespected or trivialised” by the statement and tone of the email.
The right to have an abortion was granted and made legal in 1973 in the case referred to as Roe vs. Wade, and a leaked document now states that the US Supreme Court intends to overturn the historic ruling. If the Supreme Court does overrule the decision this would make abortion illegal again, removing a fundamental right for women to do what they want with their bodies.
