Sony Confirms the 20 Games Included with the PlayStation Classic Console

A few weeks ago, Sony announced that they would be releasing a PlayStation Classic mini console similar to Nintendo’s past NES and SNES classic consoles. At the time, Sony did not reveal all the titles that would be included on the device. Yesterday Sony announced the PlayStation Classic game catalogue.

The list includes some big-hitters such as Grand Theft Auto, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy 7 and more;

  • Battle Arena Toshinden
  • Cool Boarders 2
  • Destruction Derby
  • Final Fantasy 7
  • Grand Theft Auto
  • Intelligent Qube
  • Jumping Flash
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Mr Driller
  • Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee
  • Rayman
  • Resident Evil Director’s Cut
  • Revelations: Persona
  • Ridge Racer Type 4
  • Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo
  • Syphon Filter
  • Tekken 3
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six

The Japanese PlayStation Classic console game list is a little different to the North American one and includes the following;

  • Arc the Lad
  • Arc the Lad 2
  • Armored Core
  • Battle Arena Toshinden
  • Devil Dice (aka XI [sai])
  • Final Fantasy 7
  • G Darius
  • Gradius Gaiden
  • Intelligent Qube
  • Jumping Flash
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Mr. Driller
  • Parasite Eve
  • Persona
  • Resident Evil
  • Ridge Racer Type 4
  • SaGa Frontier
  • Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo
  • Tekken 3

Sony plans to release the PlayStation Classic console worldwide on 3 December 2018. While local pricing and availability have not been announced yet, the console will sell for $99 in the US so expect it to launch in SA for over R1500.
