Sony has confirmed the PlayStation Plus Essential lineup coming to the service in October 2023 and it includes The Callisto Protocol, Farming Simulator 22 and Weird West. The three free games will become available to download for PS4 and PS5 players on 3 October until 6 November.
While it’s not a very big month for PS Plus Essential games, players will get to experience The Callisto Protocol, a sci-fi survival horror game from the creator of Dead Space, Glen Schofield. It launched back in December 2022 to a mixed reception, leading to the company potentially being in a spot of trouble. However, it’s still a good time if you look past some of its flaws. Additionally, Farming Simulator 22 offers another laid-back agriculture and business management game while Weird West is an inventive action-RPG and immersive sim.

As mentioned, the games will become available to download for all PlayStation Plus subscribers on 3 October. Make sure you grab the September games before they disappear too.

The game supports different styles of play in a simulated sandbox world where characters, factions, and even places react to a player’s decisions, and players are faced with brutal choices and consequences that can’t be undone – including death.
