PlayStation Plus June Marvel Spider Man 2 PS5

PlayStation Plus June Rumour – Could Marvel’s Spider-Man Be Included?

Now before you all go into a craze and think this is real, take this with a massive pinch of salt. Last month, the internet thought PlayStation Plus subscribers would get Dying Light and Dark Souls after a leak showed the games listed as PS+ freebies. However, Sony went right off the scale and gave players Farming Simulator 19 and Cities: Skylines. The moral of the story, don’t get your hopes up until the announcement. Heading over to the PlayStation Store right now, Marvel’s Spider-Man is showing as a PlayStation Plus June game with a “free” tag. This only appears when you click on the game and it gives you the option to choose between the standard edition and deluxe edition.

Now, this could be a glitch related to the game recently being added to PlayStation Now. However, it may also be a sign that the game will be next month’s free game. We doubt it though. Once you choose the free game, it still comes up in your cart as the paid version. It could be a glitch, an in-store bug or a listing mistake.

Another reason I think it is a mistake is due to the price tag. It appears as R629 and then changes to R1000 on the dot when viewing the “free” version. This price point seldom happens and why is it listed as two prices anyway? While it would be great if Sony were to give Marvel’s Spide-Man as a free PlayStation Plus June game, chances of this happen are very slim. Sony will announce the June PlayStation Plus games on Wednesday this week so until then, take everything you see with a pinch of salt.

It would be a fantastic free game. We reviewed Marvel’s Spider-Man at launch and loved it. After the mediocre May lineup, hopefully, Sony has something decent up their sleeves for subscribers.
