PlayStation Plus South Africa Price Drops – Here’s What You Will Pay From 1 May

Good news for South Africa PlayStation Plus subscribers as effective from tomorrow, 1 May 2020, PlayStation Plus South African prices will drop by a good chunk of money.  The new price drops affect the 12-month and 3-month subscriptions. Similarly, the same new prices can be found across retail chains in SA.

Remember, you can stand a chance of winning games for a year if you buy vouchers from The Nexus. Funds will go towards supporting the Nexus COVID-19 Relief Fund.  The retailer already has the updated prices for both the 12-month and 3-month subs. The PlayStation Store will update at midnight.

The new South Africa PlayStation Plus prices are as follows.

  • 12-month @ R749
  • 3-month @ R319
  • 1-month @ R109

Subscribers will no doubt be happy about the new PlayStation Plus South African price drops. After the abysmal lineup of free games this month, Sony should be dropping the price of the service. However, we do feel the future lineup of free games may suffer the same fate. With next-gen on the horizon, Sony may skimp on the quality of free games as the lineup begins to run dry. In other words, prepare for a lacklustre couple of months ahead.

The May lineup includes Cities: Skylines and Farming Simulator 19. Therefore making the month ahead a pretty boring one for free PS+ games.
