The event is seemingly bigger than your average State of Play as it will run for a little over an hour and feature announcements from PlayStation’s first-party studios as well as third-party partners. Sony set the stage in a PlayStation blog post that gave fans a vague idea of what to expect from the show, “focusing on PS5 and PS VR2 games in development from top studios from around the world. Expect a glimpse at several new creations from PlayStation Studios, as well as spellbinding games from our third-party partners and indie creators.”

As for when you can watch the big PlayStation Showcase, it will officially air on Wednesday, 24 May (tomorrow) at 1PM PT or 10PM CAT local time. South Africans thankfully won’t have to stay up too late to catch the show as long as loadshedding doesn’t creep in.

We know next to nothing about the upcoming PlayStation Showcase beyond mere rumours, such as the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake potentially being announced at the event. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, arguably the biggest PS5 release of the year, is almost guaranteed to make an appearance, hopefully with some gameplay.
